Hello, I’m Aishia

Psychologist & Clinical Psychology Registrar, she/her

BPsychSc (Hons), MPsych (Clin Psych)

I am a Brisbane based psychologist working with people 16 years and older.

I work with people who may find themselves caught in recurring relationship patterns and conflict, struggling with self-criticism, navigating difficult emotions, life transitions and health journeys, or feeling uncertain about who they are and where they are headed. At times, these experiences can leave us feeling stuck, disconnected, anxious, overwhelmed, or down in our relationships, sense of self, and daily lives.

I offer a warm and collaborative space where we can explore these challenges together with curiosity and compassion. As we make sense of your experiences together, therapy can help you feel more connected to yourself and others, and create space for meaningful and lasting change.

My Approach

My approach to therapy is grounded in attachment and trauma-informed ways of working, using relational psychodynamic therapy to support your therapy needs and goals. In therapy, we look beyond symptoms to understand how they are connected to your life experiences, relationships, and inner world, supporting deeper, long lasting change.

Therapy offers a supportive space to explore and heal from your difficulties at a pace that is right for you. In therapy, I primarily use interpersonal (IPT) and psychodynamic psychotherapy. Psychodynamic psychotherapy explores patterns, emotions, and relationship dynamics that impact how we feel and engage with ourselves and others. These approaches are well suited if you are looking for something beyond strategy-based support or have found that practical, skills-focused approaches haven’t felt quite right for you.

Depending on your needs and goals, I also draw on approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) when helpful. As each person’s experience is different, therapy is a collaborative process that is tailored to your needs, goals, and circumstances.
