Hi, I’m Aishia

Master of Clinical Psychology, BPsySc (Hons), she/her

I’m a Psychologist and Clinical Registrar working with adults 18 years and over in Coorparoo, Brisbane/Meanjin. I have training and experience across a range of individual and group therapy approaches, and have worked in both public and private settings with children, adolescents, parents, and adults.

My approach to therapy is grounded in psychodynamic, relational, and attachment-informed ways of working. At its core, this means I’m interested in how early life experiences, important relationships, and past patterns can shape our sense of self, our emotional world, and how we relate to those around us in the present. Many people find themselves noticing repeating patterns in relationships, strong emotional responses, or a sense of feeling stuck. Therapy can offer a supportive space to gently explore and make sense of these experiences. I view therapy as a collaborative and reflective process. I aim to create a warm, safe, and supportive space where you can feel heard and understood, and where we can work together at a pace that feels right for you. Sessions are guided by care, curiosity, and respect, allowing space to explore thoughts, feelings, and experiences as they arise.

In therapy I primarily use interpersonal (IPT) and psychodynamic psychotherapy. Psychodynamic psychotherapy explores unconscious patterns, emotions, and relationship dynamics that impact how we feel and engage with ourselves and others. I also draw on approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) when helpful. As each person’s experience is different, therapy is a collaborative process that is tailored to each person’s needs, goals, and circumstances.
